Yesware, the service that helps salespeople make more money, has secured $4 million in Series A funding. IDG Ventures led the round. Seed round investors Google Ventures, Foundry Group and Golden Venture Partners all re-invested in the company. Yesware plans to use the funding to expand its product team, deepen its integration with CRM systems, and broaden its platform reach.

Yesware helps salespeople close more deals faster. Yesware's Email Tracking notifies salespeople when prospects open their messages and click their links. Custom Templates streamline responses to prospects and customers. CRM Syncing connects sales email to solutions from Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics, and many others to save time and improve the quality of enterprise data. Yesware's Reports and Analytics give salespeople unprecedented feedback about how their messages are being received.

"Yesware has already made an impact on the communication efficiency of our sales team," said Mark Roberge, SVP of Sales & Service at Hubspot. "I am always on the lookout for productivity tools that help us bring more efficiency, predictability, and science into our sales process. Yesware is one of those tools. Being able to analyze the efficiency of our emails to prospects helps us fine-tune our messages and close deals faster. "

Sales managers who deploy Yesware to their teams see activity-based reports that reveal a new level of performance detail without relying on additional data entry. Yesware's collaboration features enable salespeople and sales managers to share the most effective templates with their colleagues.

"Yesware's growth at Yammer was completely organic," said Don Otvos, Senior Manager of Sales Operations at Yammer. "Salespeople just started using it, closing more business and spreading the word. Before long I knew this was a key service that we should deploy to everyone in the company."

"In a short period of time, Yesware has become an important part of our sales process," said Ryan Williams, Senior Director of Sales for AdRoll. "When my team started using it and then paying for it themselves, I knew it was helping them be more effective."

Since its launch in September 2011, Yesware has grown to serve more than 40,000 salespeople in thousands of companies across the globe. Yesware is quickly becoming an integral component of sales organizations all over the world.

"I've watched too many of the companies we've invested in use email and CRM systems as though they existed in parallel universes," said Brad Feld, Managing Director at Foundry Group and new member of Yesware's Board of Directors. "In a short period of time, the Yesware team has proved the value of their approach by helping tens of thousands of salespeople. We're happy to re-invest in this innovative company, and we're excited to help it grow."

"Sales automation can boost revenues and sales productivity, but sales people and sales forces often resist structured solutions imposed from above," said Patrick Kenealy, Managing Director, IDG Ventures USA. "We like Yesware's non-invasive approach, which lets salespeople use the tools they're most comfortable with, yet gives them (and their managers) enterprise-level forecasting and account management tools."

Available initially for the Chrome browser, this month Yesware added Firefox support. Yesware for Gmail can be downloaded for free at www.yesware.com. A paid version of Yesware called Yesware Plus, as well as volume and enterprise licensing, are also available; please visit http://www.yesware.com/product-tour for information.

"The progress we've made so far is a testament to the hard work of the team, the close involvement of our customers, and the need for services that make salespeople more effective," said Matthew Bellows, Founder and CEO of Yesware. "Our market momentum and new funding gives us the opportunity to demonstrate Yesware's true potential - helping salespeople succeed around the world."
