According to published reports, Virident Systems, a company that develops flash-based storage class memory solutions for the enterprise, has raised $26 million in Series D funding led by Mitsui Global Investments with Globespan Capital Partners, Sequoia Capital and Artiman Ventures participating.

Virident enables enterprises to tackle performance-intensive enterprise applications. Virident FlashMAX II, a PCIe Storage Class Memory solution, ensures that application performance is ten times faster than other HDD systems at one-third of the total cost of ownership.
