GRAND RAPIDS, MI, Varsity News Network announced that it has raised a Series A venture capital funding round of $3 million.
According to Crain's Detroit Business, Varsity News Network, announced that it has raised a Series A venture capital funding round of $3 million.

The A round was led by Arsenal Venture Partners of Winter Park, Fla., and joined by several angel investor organizations around the state and three VC funds, Ann Arbor-based North Coast Technology Investors LP, New York-based RSL Venture Partners LP and the Detroit-based First Step Fund.

VNN is like ESPN.com for high schools. VNN's web platform makes it easy for Athletic Directors to manage social communication, and creates media coverage for athletics in the process. In aggregate, this content targets a national audience of 30MM high school parents, enabling advertisers to reach individual communities, at scale. VNN helps high schools promote their athletes, and celebrate what it means to play the game.
