Urban Sky, a stratospheric technology and remote sensing startup, announced an over-subscribed $4.1 million Seed financing round co-led by Catapult Ventures and Union Labs, with participation from TenOneTen Ventures, New Stack Ventures, and Techstars.

Leveraging advances in component miniaturization, first-of-its-kind balloon reusability, and the high vantage point of the Stratosphere, the Microballoon from Urban Sky drastically reduces the cost of high-resolution remote sensing and weather-related data capture over broad areas, leading to more impactful data over more areas than ever before.
