WASHINGTON, DC, TroopSwap Inc. has raised $925,000, or nearly half of a $2 million offering, from 25 investors, according to an SEC filing.

TroopSwap features a different cool business in communites offering an exclusive deal to veterans, service members and their immediate families. The firm's local employees are all military spouses and gives 10% of profits to the Wounded Warrior Project. The firm's goal is to reward a life of service. Currently, TroopSwap is only available in Hampton Roads, Virginia - the largest military community in the world -- but will expand to more bases in the near future.
