TrepScore Secures Funding
2014-10-28
SANTA MONICA, CA, Intuitive data management software for startup founders, today announced that it has closed financing.
TrepScore, the intuitive data management software for startup founders, today announced that it has closed financing from Techstars' Bullet Time Ventures. This comes after recent investments by Business Rockstars, a national radio/online video show focused on entrepreneurship, and several other individual investors.
TrepScore was designed for startup founders to reduce the burden of gathering and analyzing all of the data that their businesses produce. It provides a single platform that integrates data from any cloud-based software, proactively organizes critical business documents, tracks and validates major milestones, and provides actionable content about best practices. The company will be expanding its 'invite-only' beta next week.
'We live in a world of data overload. It's a luxury to have all of this new data but it's also a burden. Small businesses, and especially new entrepreneurs, are pulled in all directions and simply don't have time or resources to take advantage of their business data,' said Eric Rice, Founder and chief executive of TrepScore. 'Collecting, analyzing, and taking action based on this data is time-consuming and entrepreneurs seem to do it only sporadically, whether it's preparing for investors or reacting to a negative event. We want entrepreneurs to be constantly aware, to get full value out of their data, and to use it proactively rather than reactively.'
'Entrepreneurs have so many powerful tools at their disposal - helpdesks, email marketing tools, feedback products, and CRMs - yet these solutions remain fragmented and overly complex,' said David Cohen, Managing Partner, Techstars. 'TrepScore is solving this problem with lightweight software that brings disconnected tools together to provide a simple yet holistic view of a company's entire business.'
'Our audience is always looking for solutions and we feel that we have found one that they will all be using soon,' said Steve Lehman, Chairman, Business Rockstars. 'TrepScore will become more than a software platform, it is a paradigm shift and a support mechanism for entrepreneurs everywhere.'
'This new capital will certainly allow us to take our technology to the next level,' said Eric Rice. 'More importantly, working with partners like these will help us build a sustainable platform that will have a lasting impact on our community for years to come.'
The company also announced today that it was selected to participate in Techweek's LAUNCH LA competition November 20th.
