According to published reports, TrekkSoft, a startup that offers an online booking and payment solution for tours, has raised an $800,000 seed round.
The new funding comes from Redalpine Capital II, the Innovation Fund of Schwyzer Kantonalbank, and a group of private investors, including Armin Meier, former CEO of Kuoni, Walter Güntensperger, CEO of Active Travel and former CEO of Hotelplan Switzerland, and Adrian Locher, founder and COO of DeinDeal.ch.
A Swiss start-up founded in 2010, Trekksoft now holds offices in Interlaken, Switzerland and New York City to be more accessible for its international clients. Its online booking and payment solution is currently used by over 200 tour and activity providers worldwide and on track to generate an online credit card transaction volume of 8 million CHF in 2013.
