FAIRFAX, VA, According to SEC filings, TrafficLand has added $2.13 million in funding to advance its business of providing live streams of traffic.

TrafficLand, Inc. provides TrafficLand services that aggregates and delivers live traffic video over the Internet and on TV. The company has developed patent-pending technology to allow it to aggregate thousands of CCTV (closed circuit television) video feeds from multiple Departments of Transportation (DoTs) traffic camera networks.

TrafficLand services currently includes thousands of cameras from dozens of markets worldwide. Developed as a public-private partnership, TrafficLand works with local, state and federal government agencies and commercial enterprises to leverage existing video camera networks and repurpose these resources to unlock their full benefits

TrafficLand launched its public website on Monday, September 10, 2001, feeding video from 32 roadside cameras in Northern Virginia. The tragic events of the next day immediately made TrafficLand.com an invaluable tool for area residents seeking to evacuate the city after the attack on the Pentagon and local media seeking reliable information about ground conditions.
