AUSTIN, TX, The much loved warm cookie delivery company, Tiff's Treats, today announced it has closed more than $14 million round of funding, including debt and equity.
The Series C round was led by private equity firm, Capstar Partners, private investor Lew Little, and included other institutional and individual investors. This financial infusion will help Tiff's Treats continue to grow and expand, including to new geographies, ensuring its warm, fresh baked cookies are available to more happy customers in more places. Additionally, today, Tiff's Treats is proud to announce that its co-founder, Tiffany Taylor Chen, was recently recognized with a Profiles in Power award, one of six of 30 finalists selected by the Austin Business Journal recognizing the area's top women in business in 2015.
'Tiff's Treats is such an iconic local and regional brand,' said Lew Little, former CEO Harden Healthcare. 'Leon and Tiff created something special when they were at UT. Since that time, they have meticulously built a great culture and team that is poised for growth. I look forward to joining the Board and participating with them in their future success. Also, I love their cookies!'
With this investment, Little will be joining the Tiff's Treats board of directors, along with former Whole Foods executive, Lee Valkenaar. Little and Valkenaar join an already impressive list of advisors and investors including a former VP of Pizza Hut, Sam Khoury, a former VP of Starbucks, Joe Canterbury and Mike Joyce, COO Live Oak Gottesman.
Tiff's Treats is celebrating 16 years in business this year, and recently opened its 17th and 18th locations, its first in Fort Worth, and second in San Antonio, respectively. This funding will support the company's retail expansion plans, to take its business beyond 18 stores in 4 cities in Texas.

'With this latest round, we are excited to add Lew, Steve Hicks and Robert Hicks of Capstar Partners. All three have been extremely successful in growing businesses and they lead a very impressive list of new investors that will be joining the Tiff's Treats team.'
