Temnos, the semantic technology experts, today announced a new content intelligence platform that helps content creators put their online content to better use and maximize user engagement.
Unlike other companies that only offer basic tagging or pre-defined topic classification, Temnos' platform offers a scalable, integrated tool that recognizes, evaluates, extracts and creates metadata and metacontent to support any end-to-end content intelligence process.
The Temnos team has more than 15 years of expertise in developing commercial semantic technology and has worked with a variety of leaders in the online content creation space including CNET, San Jose Mercury News, Disqus and Federated Media Publishing.
How the Temnos Platform works
The Temnos platform uses rich semantic technology to analyze, organize, tag and filter online content which then makes it useable and actionable for content creators. Temnos ensures maximum user engagement according to the creator's priorities like time spent on site, page views, CTR, CPM or revenue. The multi-phase process includes:
Analyzing the content using rich semantic technologies
Making the content usable via thorough tagging, filtering and searching
Making the content incredibly powerful through targeting, repackaging and summarizing
Company names CEO; Secures Funding
Temnos has appointed long-time Silicon Valley tech executive Jim Bailey as CEO of the new company. Bailey was previously at Exis, a company focused on the sales of custom chips. During his 21-year tenure at Exis he held a variety of roles, working his way up from sales engineer to CEO. Under Bailey's leadership, Exis reached more than $1 billion in annual sales.
Temnos also secured $1.25 million in funding from angel investors and will use the funds to continue to expand the content intelligence platform and hire key engineering and sales staff.
'The key to unlocking the value of online content requires sorting, combining, contextualizing and presenting the right content to the right audience at the right time,' said Tim Musgrove, founder and executive chairman at Temnos. 'Our team has fine-tuned our methodology and we now offer one of the most robust, scalable content intelligence platforms available in the market.'
