PALO ALTO, CA, Music app maker Smule Inc. has raised $12 million in new venture financing, according to a regulatory filing. There were three undisclosed investors that participated in the offering.

Headquartered in Palo Alto, California, Smule invents "Smule-struments" for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to enable creative social music experiences. Musical works created with Smule's applications, including Ocarina, I Am T-Pain, Magic Piano, Magic Fiddle and Glee Karaoke, have been shared and listened to more than 126 million times since 2008.
Smule's investors include Bessemer Venture Partners, Granite Ventures, Shasta Ventures, and Floodgate.
