LONDON, ENGLAND, Shopcade, a website that links shoppers and sellers, has announced a round of private funding led by Pascal Cagni and Michel Combes.
A shoppers' social network that suggests products for consumers based on their profile and previous purchases has announced a round of private funding.
Shopcade, a London-based site that helps its users pick between 150,000 brands from the over 16,000 retailers hosted by the site, received the undisclosed financing from investors Pascal Cagni, who managed Apple's European business from 2000 to 2012, and Michel Combes, the CEO of Alcatel-Lucent. The company hopes its personal recommendation system will make it a success in this oncoming holiday season, and anticipates launching new Android and IOS7 apps by November.
Shocade recently signed partnerships with a mix of fashion bloggers and magazines like Hearsts.
