CAMBRIDGE, MA, Selventa, a Cambridge-based developer of software for analyzing healthcare patient data, has raised $5 million in a round of venture capital, according to a new filing by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Nine separate investors participated in the offering.

Selventa is a personalized healthcare company that helps pharmaceutical and biotechnology partners find optimal treatments for the right patients through early patient stratification and portfolio optimization.

Founded in 2002 and venture funded, Selventa elucidates the mechanistic understanding of complex, molecular data through collaborative projects, licensed software products and the strategic development of well-differentiated pharmaceutical portfolios in a variety of disease areas.
