Seamless Toy Announces $2.6M Seed Round

Right in time for holiday gift giving, Seamless Toy Company announced today that ATOMS, the smart building blocks that captured the imagination of Kickstarter backers and kids around the world, are now commercially available at www.myatoms.com. Seamless also announced an impressive list of seed investors.

With ATOMS, kids can make a bashful talking pet monster that loves hiding under tables, or they can make their sister's stuffed cat 'meow' by waving a magic wand. ATOMS enables kids to create things as fast as they can imagine them.

'We created ATOMS to narrow the gap between what kids can dream up and what they can make,' said Michael Rosenblatt, founder of Seamless Toy Company. 'From our Kickstarter backers to the kids and parents we've met all over the country this year, we've heard over and over again that ATOMS fills a hole in the market. Kids want to build things that really work, and there have not been a lot of options - until ATOMS.'

Kids as young as 6 can master ATOMS within minutes of opening the box, requiring little, if any, parental oversight. ATOMS come in starter sets that contain everything kids need to build monsters, magic wands, and robots; and the ATOMS themselves are also designed to integrate with LEGOs, Barbies, and action figures, giving old toys new lives that grow with a child's imagination. ATOMS are durably enclosed with no exposed elements, have no magnets, and come at a cost lower than other interactive building toys on the market.

Seamless is also introducing an ATOMS iOS App that will be available later this month, which enables kids to build beyond by adding virtual ATOMS on their Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPad, iPod, or iPhone. Screen-based ATOMS can be used to control real ATOMS from across the room (excellent for pranking a big brother), and alternatively, real ATOMS can be used via the same Bluetooth link to remotely control features on their iOS device such as the camera and music player.
