Scripted.com, the leading provider of high-quality written content on demand, announced its Series B financing today led by Storm Ventures. Existing Scripted investors, Crosslink Capital and Redpoint Ventures, also participated in the round.
This funding further establishes Scripted's position as the top platform for high-quality, original content. Scripted has paid the writers in its community over $2 million and has delivered over 37 million words to date for clients. The San Francisco-based technology company has been dedicated to consistently delivering quality written content to thousands of customers since 2011 and will continue to do so with its new financing.
'The last year has been monumental for Scripted and the freelance writing community, but this is just the start of it,' said Sunil Rajaraman, CEO and Co-founder. 'In 2014, we helped thousands of writers do what they love and get paid for it. This next round of financing will give us the resources to pay more writers while simultaneously focusing on improving our product and technology.'
Tae Hea Nahm - a founding Managing Director of Storm Ventures - will join Scripted's Board of Directors.

This round also includes the following new angel investors in the company: Gil Penchina - who runs the largest syndicate on AngelList - Auren Hoffman (founder of LiveRamp) and Justin Moore (CEO of Axcient).
