According to the LA Business Journal, Rock the Bells, a content and commerce brand created by rapper and actor LL Cool J, has raised $8 million in Series A funding.

The funding round was led by Raine Ventures, with participation from M13 and Willoughby Capital Holdings, as well as Yahoo! co-founder Jerry Yang.

Founded in 2018 by LL Cool J (James Todd Smith), Rock The Bells focuses on content, commerce and experiences that honor the culture and the core elements of hip-hop - mc's, dj's, breakdancers, and graffiti artists.
