Recess, a marketplace platform for parents to find and book enrichment classes, after-school care, and camps, announced it has secured $1.75 million in pre-seed funding. The oversubscribed round was led by Baukunst. Recess' search platform is currently live, with full booking capabilities set to launch this summer in Austin, followed by national expansion. The company aims to reshape how families book their children's activities, much like Airbnb revolutionized travel booking and OpenTable transformed restaurant booking.
