Real Food Works, LLC (http://www.realfoodworks.com), a service featuring healthy meals based on the real food diet, today announced that it has received funding from First Round Capital, StartUp PHL, a number of angel investors, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners (BFTP). The announcement was made at a reception at Real Food Works' headquarters in downtown Philadelphia. Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter, Deputy Mayor Alan Greenberger, President of Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) John Grady, BFTP Vice-President Terrence H. Hicks, First Round Capital Managing Partner Josh Kopelman, and Real Food Works Founder/CEO Lucinda Duncalfe spoke at the event. Customers, partners, entrepreneurs, and other members of the Philadelphia startup ecosystem were also in attendance.
