ARUSHA, TANZANIA, Off-Grid Electric has raised $7 million from SolarCity, Vulcan Capital and Omidyar Network.
According to Greentech Media, SolarCity has joined up with venture firms Vulcan Capital and Omidyar Network to invest $7 million into Off-Grid Electric, a Tanzania-based company providing solar lighting services in Africa.
Off Grid Electric is the world's first massively scalable 'solar energy as a service' company.
