Obot AI, an open-source software company building secure, enterprise-ready platforms for the emerging Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard, today announced a $35 million seed funding round.

The round was co-led by Mayfield Fund and Nexus Venture Partners.

Obot AI is building an open-source Enterprise MCP Gateway to accelerate the adoption of AI technology in the Enterprise. By providing a standard, open-source foundation for building, running, and scaling MCP servers, Obot AI enables enterprises to move from experimentation to real-world adoption with governance, security, and trust. Obot AI was founded by the team behind Rancher Labs (acquired by SUSE) and Cloud.com (acquired by Citrix).
