WALTHAM, MA, Novomer, a Waltham-based developer of polymers and plastics using renewable materials, has raised $10 million in a round of venture capital, according to a filing by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Novomer is a new materials company pioneering a family of competitively priced high-performance green plastics, polymers and other chemicals. With proprietary catalyst technologies and a world-class scientific team, Novomer's groundbreaking work allows carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide to be cost-effectively transformed into a wide variety of industrial products.
