Notice Software Inks $350K Seed Round

2013-07-16
SEATTLE, WA, Notice Software announced the closing of a $350,000 seed round, led by the Rocket Venture Fund.
Notice Software is pleased to announce the closing of a $350,000 seed round, led by the Rocket Venture Fund. Notice Software's core technology uses push notifications to engage mobile device users with the web. Notice will use this funding round to expand its product offering to include eÂ-tail and mobile workforce solutions.

'We are excited to have Notice Software join our portfolio of companies in the growing Toledo Tech sector,' says Ben Trumbull of Rocket Ventures. 'We think the technology Notice Software has developed uniquely positions the company to grow rapidly in the already rapidly growing push solutions business.'

Notice plans to release two new products in the third quarter of 2013, Smartloop and Roost. Smartloop is an enterpriseÂ-focused push solution that tracks compliance (and other time sensitive) communications across a corporation's mobile workforce. Roost (roost.me, forthcoming) allows eÂ-tailers to engage their mobile website traffic with push notificationsÂ-Â-the notifications push visitors to designated landing pages of the eÂ-tailers' websites.

Notice Software was founded by Burton Miller (CEO) and Casey Haakenson (CTO). Notice was initially conceived as a messaging solution for mobile publishing, but the company has since pivoted into the push notification space with an emphasis on the mobile web. The company believes that push technology usage will increasingly expand and diversify as smartphone adoption and mobile web browsing become universal. Notice will use its push technologies to create custom solutions for particular markets and is committed to making push notifications an indispensable part of the mobile web experience.

'This investment will fuel Notice Software's growth as we release retail, communication, and compliance products based on our suite of messaging technologies,' according to Burton Miller, CEO of Notice Software. 'We are especially excited about our partnership with Rocket Ventures, and all the great synergy that relationship creates.'
