Narrative Clip Gets $3M In Advance of Launch

LINKOPING, SWEDEN, Narrative Clip, a company that (known by its former name Memento) raised $550,000 in support of its lifelogging camera, has received $3 million from San Francisco-based True Ventures, and will ship its first cameras on November 1.
A Swedish company develping a lifelogging camera is poised to become a Kickstarter success story, after receiving a $3 million venture funding on the eve of shipping its first orders.

Narrative, a Linkoping, Sweden-based firm, raised $550,000 on Kickstarter in support of its lifelogging camera, the Narrative Clip, a matchbook-sized clip-on camera that records a picture every 30 seconds for later uploading. (The company was known by its former name, Memento Lifelogging Camera, at the time of the Kickstarter funding.) Now Narrative has received a $3 million funding from San Francisco-based firm True Ventures.

Narrative will ship its first Narrative Clips to Kickstarter investors and pre-order customers on November 1. The company also plans to offer online services and apps to manage the lifelogging data from its Narrative Clip.
