WALLINGFORD, CT, Mutualink, a Wallingford-based provider of voice, text and data communications networks for community first responders, has raised $2 million of investment capital, according to a filing by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Mutualink's secure peer to peer Internet Protocol (IP) Network eliminates single points of failure and the need for a central "switch." Incidents are created with Mutualink's Graphical User Interface (GUI) by electronically inviting participants. Participants on the Mutualink Network have control over their radio and other communication resources, can accept or reject invitations and exit incidents at their discretion.
