Magic Leap Pulls In $500M

2021-10-12
PLANTATION, FL, Magic Leap today announced that it has raised $500 million in funding at a post-money valuation of roughly $2 billion.
The new capital will further Magic Leap's focus on delivering best-in-class augmented reality (AR) solutions including the roll-out of its second-generation product, Magic Leap 2, in 2022.

Magic Leap was founded in 2011 by Rony Abovitz, a few wizards, and inspired friendship from Sir Richard Taylor, co-founder of Weta Workshop. Magic Leap's mission is to develop and commercialize what we believe will be the most natural and human-friendly wearable computing interface in the world.
