According to Tech Crunch, Luminoso, a text analytics startup, has raised $6.5M in Series A funding led by Acadia Woods with Digital Garage also participating.

Luminoso gives computers the ability to understand people the way people understand each other. We do this by giving them a structural foundation of common-sense reasoning that sits at the forward-edge of text analytics. Because we already contain a massive body of cognitive understanding, Luminoso approaches every document with that inherent awareness.
