KIN, a leading global digital media company that empowers lifestyle creators to do what they love, today closed a $12 million Series C round of funding, led by Corus Entertainment Inc. with participation by Emil Capital. The round also includes existing investors Mayfield Fund, General Catalyst Partners and Rustic Canyon Partners.

KIN, which owns KIN Community, the number one female-focused lifestyle network on YouTube, will use the funding for overall talent acquisition and support, expansion of its advertising sales team, original programming and new business development opportunities. In addition, KIN and Corus, a Canada-based media and entertainment company, will partner to launch KIN Canada, bringing the company's multichannel network, lifestyle creators, award-winning programming and advertising opportunities to the Canadian marketplace. KIN's sales team will work in collaboration with Corus to leverage KIN's existing advertising and marketing platforms to create custom opportunities for brands to reach Canadian consumers.
