A company that offers users a way to create and share infographics on the Web has received an investment for U.S. expansion.

The 1.34 million euro ($1.8 million) investment came from Point Nine Capital, Connect Ventures, and HackFwd, according to published reports. The company also raised $8.1 million in Series A funding last month.

Infogr.am is a 2012 startup launched by two journalism tech specialists looking to empower journalists and bloggers with an easy-to-use infographic creator. The Latvia-headquartered company caters to news portals, blogs, and researchers, helping to simplify complex stories and share information with readers.
