Hydrant, a wellness brand offering products for hydration, announced it has raised $8.5 million in funding led by Rx3 Growth Partners and a group of celebrities, athletes, and tastemakers, bringing its total investment to date to over $17 million.
Investors ranged from celebrities like Lance Bass and Ashley Greene to athletes and trainers like Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, Sloane Stephens, Michael Bisping, Ron 'Boss' Everline, Jonathan Stewart, and Darren Sproles. The majority of these investors were sourced by Rx3 Growth Partners, a consumer-focused investment fund backed by a network of influencers and professional athletes.
Founded by John Sherwin and Jai Jung Kim in 2018, Hydrant was created with the goal of giving consumers an easier and healthier way to hydrate rapidly. Properly hydrating calls for a balanced mix of electrolytes, vitamins, and minerals, which Hydrant gives customers, along with just the right amount - but not too much - of sugar. Since launch, Hydrant has grown into four categories: Hydrate, Energy, Immunity, and Sleep. Each line is formulated with functional ingredients to help consumer needs without compromising on taste or nutrition.
