According to the Boston Business Journal, Fancred, which offers a sports-focused social networking app, has closed on a $1.5 million seed round.

Investors in the round include Atlas Venture, Militello Capital and Star Power Partners, along with angels Linda Pizzuti Henry, Bob Mason, Elisabeth Bentel-Carpenter and Adam Berrey.

Founded in August 2012, Fancred is a social app that measures the life of a sports fan and provides a personalized way for them to communicate, discover, and consume their favorite sports content.
