Atomicsemi, a semiconductor startup that builds and mass-produces small chip fabs which recently renamed itself to Fab2, has raised US$323.5M Series A led by Fundomo at US$2.39B valuation. Corner Capital, Paradigm, Duquesne Family Office, Maverick Silicon, StepStone Group, Protagonist, UDC Ventures, and angel investor Naval Ravikant also joined.
The company designs and builds every piece of equipment that goes inside a fab - from pumps, valves, and gas lines to lithography tools and vacuum chambers - then assembles them into compact fabs it manufactures at scale. It calls this a 'fab fab,' a factory that makes factories, and automates the process in software to test new processes quickly. Its slogan: 'We print chips.'
