According to published reports, Edjing has raised $2.5 million in funding led by Entrepreneur Venture, with participation from Deezer founder, Daniel Marhely.
DJiT is an innovative music app publishing company that distributes different services under the brand edjing. Founded in 2009 by two young engineering students, Jean-Baptiste Hironde and Nicolas Dupré, edjing was born from their passion for both music and technology. Soon after, Charles-Marie Dejardin join the band and becomes an associate at the beginning of 2010.
The idea was initially to create the world first mixing platform available on the internet. Once this challenged overcome, the 3 associates saw bigger and launched the first music video streaming platform where you could both listen and mix more than 20 million music videos directly online. 2012 marked a big turn in the company's activity. edjing choose to focus all of its effort on mobile applications. Hence, the release of edjing for iPhone in March 2012, followed by edjing for iPad in October and edjing for Android in March 2013.
edjing already registered more than 3,5 million downloads and 900 000 members in more than 180 countries.
