Earth Ocean Farms, a developer of artificial reefs made of recycled materials, has raised $3.2 million in venture capital, the company disclosed in a new securities regulatory filing. Six separate investors participated in the offering.

Earth Ocean Farms owns a highly valued ocean concession off the coast in the Sea of Cortez just north of La Paz, Baja Mexico. The firm has built a small scale pilot farm growing white shrimp offshore in the technologically innovative Aquapods. Operations include a dive team of biologists, and relationships with companies and government in Baja, Mexico; an infrastructure from which it plans to launch a more viable farm.
