BEVERLY, MA, DisruptiveApps, the Beverly-based developer of a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for interfacing with smartphone apps, has raised $950,000 in a round of venture capital, according to a filing by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

DisruptiveApps is the developer of iJukebox, a smartphone app that lets you request songs wherever you eat, drink, shop or hangout. The app is free to download and sign up. You only pay for the songs requested. Each retail establishment hand-picks their music catalog with hundreds of songs for you to choose from. After you check in to your location you can see what's playing now, what played earlier and what's coming up next.
