Convoy makes it easy for shippers to connect with nearby trucking companies, creating efficiencies and helping them book and track jobs instantly.

Convoy's investors include Jeff Bezos via Bezos Expeditions, CEO Marc Benioff, eBay founder Pierre Omidyar via Omidyar Technology Ventures, KKR CEO Henry Kravis, founders Hadi and Ali Partovi, Expedia CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, Dropbox CEO Drew Houston, former Starbucks President Howard Behar, Allen & Company, Fuel Capital, Nicolas Berggruen, Adrian Aoun, Charlie Songhurst, Grant Ries, Noosheen Hashemi, Hooman Radfar, and Michael Dougherty.

'Nearly every business in this country relies on trucking, so Convoy's benefits will be widely felt,' said Howard Behar, former Starbucks President. 'It is a game changer for truck drivers and companies large and small.'

In an industry largely unchanged for decades, Convoy's new service allows companies to book shipments in seconds and easily track their location - saving time and streamlining communications. Trusted carriers in Convoy's network receive notifications of these jobs on their phone, making it simple to get more jobs per week. Carriers complete jobs using Convoy's free mobile app, which doubles as a tool for managing and growing their fleets. With Convoy there is no waiting or haggling over price, and the result is a fast and hassle-free experience.

The company is making its service available today following a successful beta period.

'Convoy has enhanced our ability to deliver timely shipments in a cost-effective manner,' said Jeremiah Fleming, logistics manager at Seattle Goodwill. 'We strive to stay on top of trends and evolve within the industry, and we need partners like Convoy to help us achieve mission success.'

'Technology gives an edge to companies that adopt it early, and this is happening in trucking right now,' said Convoy's cofounder and CEO, Dan Lewis. 'I've seen firsthand how much potential this has to improve people's lives, and I think the day will come when shippers and truckers won't remember how they did things without Convoy.'

Convoy is now operational in Washington State, centered in the Seattle-Tacoma area. To learn more visit
