NEW YORK, NY, Collectrium announced that it has raised $2.6 Million from a group of high-profile individuals on the intersection of art and technology.
Collectrium announced today that Brian McConville, formerly Executive Vice President of artnet, has joined Collectrium as President. McConville, who also joined Collectrium's Board of Managers, will focus primarily on Collectrium's high level strategy, marketing, business development, fundraising, and strategic partnerships.
While the EVP of Artnet Worldwide Corp., McConville led artnet's global sales team and was instrumental in launching and growing artnet Auctions and artnet's Analytics division. He had joined artnet in 2003 following a ten-year career on Wall Street. An avid art collector, McConville brings to Collectrium a far-reaching network of art business relationships in the US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
On his decision to join Collectrium, McConville stated: "In recent years, Collectrium has become the leader in cloud-based and mobile art inventory management for collectors, galleries, and art fairs. The Collectrium platform is a unique springboard for offering a comprehensive range of services to collectors and dealers. I am excited to join the Collectrium team and help to grow Collectrium into the de facto art market platform."
"We are thrilled to have Brian join us," said Boris Pevzner, Collectrium CEO and Founder. "As a longtime digital art market innovator at artnet, he brings an extraordinary art world network and a strong execution-oriented culture to our firm. As Collectrium is entering its next growth phase, we look forward to benefitting from Brian's business leadership, network, and creativity."
Collectrium also announced that it has raised $2.6 Million from a group of high-profile individuals on the intersection of art and technology, including Joshua Chodniewicz and Michael Marston, co-founders of art.com; Max and Monique Burger, the principals of The Burger Collection; Arthur Berliner, a Managing Director at Walden Venture Capital and an avid art collector; and other private collectors.
