Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) announced a Series C investment in Blue Planet Systems Corporation, a startup that manufactures and develops carbonate aggregates and carbon capture technology intended to reduce the carbon intensity of industrial operations.

Blue Planet Systems is a cleantech startup company located in Los Gatos, California, that is developing technology, products and services related to economically sustainable carbon capture and mineralization, whereby carbon dioxide (CO2) is permanently sequestered in building materials for beneficial reuse, specifically as aggregate for concrete.
