According to WSJ, BloomThat Inc. has raised $5.5 million in Series A funding led by Forerunner Ventures. Joining the round were Sherpa Ventures, Rothenberg Ventures and the company's earlier seed investors First Round Capital and Vaizra Investments.

BloomThat offer handcrafted flowers starting at $35, delivered for free in 90 minutes. All bouquets are designed around what's fresh and in-season, sourcing local and domestic flowers as much as possible, and bouquets are wrapped in recycled burlap. BloomThat offers an affordable service by selling packages of flowers instead of specific arrangements.
