Arkadium, creators of the largest library of casual games in the world, announced today that after 12 years of profitable organic growth it has accepted a $5mm Series A minority investment from Edison Ventures. The company, which has a partnership with Microsoft Studios and developed many of the top titles on the new Windows 8 operating system, will use the growth capital to increase the number of titles it puts into development and expand its proprietary online distribution network. Arkadium anticipates more than doubling its staff worldwide over the next three years.
