ACTON, Affirmed Networks, an Acton-based startup, has raised $1.4 million in venture capital, according to a new filing by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The firm has received funding from Matrix Partners and Highland Capital.

Affirmed Networks is a stealth mode company located in the Boston area developing new technologies for the wireless industry.
