According to Re/Code, Anki, which makes artificially intelligent toy race cars that seem like real-life video games, has raised a $55 million Series C round.
The funding was led by J.P. Morgan, along with previous Anki investors Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures and Two Sigma.
Anki DRIVE puts you in control of a vehicle in a high caliber, high-speed race for survival. Just roll out the track, pick your car and power up the Anki DRIVE app. You're now ready to race into battle. Clash with up to 3 friends or robot cars, each aiming to lock you in their sites. Called 'amazing,' on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Anki DRIVE is currently on sale through all Apple retail stores (U.S. & Canada), Apple.com, Amazon.com and Anki.com.
