Golden Seeds, including Golden Seeds Innovate NY Fund, led a $2.0M Series C financing for Little Pim Corporation, the award-winning foreign language learning company that introduces young children to a second language via its core DVD and digitally downloadable multi-media series.

Little Pim was founded by CEO Julia Pimsleur , daughter of the language-teaching pioneer, Dr. Paul Pimsleur , who created the Pimsleur Method. The Little Pim series, available in 12 languages, features the proprietary Entertainment Immersion Method. This 6-part video series teaches kids 360 words and phrases and is sold directly through the company's web site; via digital download; in specialty retail stores and mass merchants in the U.S and in 17 countries.

The importance of introducing language to children before the age of six cannot be underestimated. Julia Pimsleur explains: "Research shows that young children are hard-wired to easily learn up to three languages. Learning a second language is a great workout for the part of the brain which handles memory, multi-tasking and other skills associated with intelligence. This Funding allows us to create new digital products and raise brand awareness via increased marketing."
