SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Startup that creates a smarter search engine for websites, has raised $7.5 million Series A round led by New Enterprise Associates.
According to published reports, Swiftype, a startup that creates a smarter search engine for websites, has raised $7.5 million led by New Enterprise Associates, with angel investors participating.
Swiftype is building search software for the next generation of websites and applications. Founded by Quin Hoxie and Matt Riley in January of 2012, we're funded by Y Combinator and a fantastic group of Angels and VCs.
Swiftype is a site-search platform that allows people to add modern, customizable search to their products in under a minute. Once installed, the user can control their on-site search through our dashboard, which is basically a CMS - you can re-order search results via drag-and-drop, learn what users are searching for, customize display styles, etc. For sites that have more specific search needs, we provide a powerful API and developer tools. This makes quality site-search an aspect of the product that companies don't need to worry about.
