A New York-based startup that lets women order custom clothing and create their own accessories through 3-D printing has received $1.2 million in seed funding.
Bow & Drape receiveed the funds from the Vegas TechFund, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Triple Point Capital, and Jeff Fluhr, according to published reports. The company will use its capital to grow its team and offices and continue developing its operation.
Bow & Drape, with offices in New York City and Boston, allows women to order custom-made tailored garments from a variety of styles, silhouettes, fabrics, and custom alterations. The company produces its clothing in New York's Garment District, and aims to use modern technology to hearken back to a time when women had a personal connection with their clothing and their seamstress.
