According to Fortune, Pley, a startup which rents Lego sets to kids through monthly subscriptions, has raised $6.7 million in funding from Allegro Venture Partners, alongside Floodgate, Correlation Ventures, Maven Ventures and Western Technology Investments. (The company also changed its name from Pleygo to Pley).
Pleygo is a Netflix-like rental service for LEGO. It allows kids and families to rent unlimited LEGO sets and save money. Pleygo allows users to rent LEGO sets, thereby saving money, reducing house clutter, and providing unlimited play time for kids. The service provides kids with continuous joy as new LEGO sets arrive in the mail. It helps kids develop their creativity, building and problem solving skills.
