Golden Seeds leads a $1.3M Series A financing in ColorModules Inc., with an initial close last Friday. ColorModules' premier product Plum Perfect is a visual product recommendation engine that provides instant personal recommendations to shoppers using their photos, whether they are shopping for beauty, fashion or home decor. The capital will fuel development of the company's consumer engagement services for brand and retail partners, as well as its marketing power to expand its global user base.

The inaugural website, PlumPerfect.com, is for the beauty shopper. From just a facial photo, this powerful patent-pending technology analyzes the color of skin, hair, eyes and lips, to make exacting color recommendations for cosmetics.

"This funding will help us to bring our powerful solution to a wider range of brands and their consumers, thus empowering women with the information and selections to shop online for cosmetics for the first time," said Asmau Ahmed, Color Modules' CEO.

"Plum Perfect's breakthrough technology will unlock the cosmetics segment of the eCommerce market that is so far undeveloped," said Marty Nealon, Managing Director, Golden Seeds, who led the financing and joins the company's board. "As former CEO of HSN, Marty is the ideal person to join us," added Ahmed.
