Polatis, a developer of all-optical switch technology, announced on Thursday it has raised $2.7 in venture capital from the company's existing investors. The company said it will use the funding to accelerate new product developments for growth markets in datacenter interconnect, carrier networking and government systems, further ramp in-house manufacturing capability, and expand business development resources. Investors in Polatis include Flagship Ventures, JK&B Capital, DFJ Esprit, Encore Ventures, Alta-Berkeley Ventures, Massachusetts Technology Development Corp., Prism VentureWorks and Gainesborough Investments.
