Yup raised $4M in seed funding from existing and new investors, including Stanford University's StartX Fund and SOMA Capital. The new funding brings Yup's total funding to $7.5M.

Yup will use the funding to grow its user base and further develop its Personalized Inquiry Learning™ framework to combat the growing cheating problem among online tutoring services. Yup's platform monitors how tutors interact with students to ensure they are working through the problems and not just being handed the answers.

two weeks tutors are given in-depth feedback on each student's engagement from tutor managers and through other proprietary data.
