SAN DIEGO, CA, TVPage announced today that Greg Silverman has joined as a strategic investor as part of TVPage's recent $3M round of funding.
TVPage, the leading provider of cloud-based video commerce technologies, announced today that Greg Silverman has joined as a strategic investor as part of TVPage's recent $3M round of funding.
Mr. Silverman, who until recently served as President of Warner Bros. Pictures, will help drive TVPage's expansion to the world of digital media. This follows the recent launch of the TVPage Video Commerce Exchange, a new offering for digital media publishers that enables the monetization of video content through public and private merchant sponsorships.
"We're thrilled to have Greg join us," noted Allon Caidar, CEO of TVPage. "His knowledge and industry experience is a tremendous benefit to the company."
"I'm excited to be involved with TVPage. Their innovative multi-device, omni-channel video commerce technology will play a critical role in the growth of the digital media industry and fuel the revolutionary convergence of content and commerce," said Mr. Silverman.
During his tenure at Warner Bros., Mr. Silverman oversaw some of the most popular and profitable movies, including "The Dark Knight" trilogy, "The Hangover" trilogy, "Inception," "Interstellar," "The Lego Movie" and the highly successful "Lego Batman Movie," which debuted recently. Mr. Silverman also oversaw the revitalized DC franchise titles "Man of Steel," "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," "Suicide Squad" and next year's "Wonder Woman."
About TVPage
One of the main challenges for merchants and publishers today is how they will generate the double-digit growth they need to compete in a highly competitive online marketplace. Consumers have an 8.25 second attention span, and spend over 5 hours/day watching video. Today, video consumption and shopping occur on the same device, yet merchants and publishers have no effective way to capitalize on the powerful, untapped video medium. TVPage solves this problem with its Video CMS that empowers merchants and publishers to source, publish and monetize Video Commerce Experiences at scale.
TVPage is headquartered in San Diego, California. The TVPage Video Commerce Cloud is leading the industry and setting the standard for how consumers interact and shop with video across merchant and digital media properties.
