3D Robotic secured a third round of venture financing, a $50 million dollar Series C injection spearheaded by Qualcomm, global leader in 3G and next-generation mobile technologies.

3D Robotics designs and manufactures electronics and aerial vehicles, including multicopters and airplanes. It created the open source APM autopilot line, along with the APM:Copter and APM:Plane UAVs (formerly ArduCopter and ArduPlane).
